The subject of the project is to develop R&D activities of Rabbit sp. z o.o. by developing and implementing a system to manage lighting in one room, based on LiFi technology.
A novel system of distributing useful information using light from the visible wave range, i.e., 4×1014 ÷ 7.9×1014, will be developed. The information will be propagated by means of LED lamps, appropriately constructed and equipped with specialized transmitting and receiving systems, which will simultaneously provide the recipient, apart from the stream of data carrying information, with lighting of the working plane.
The project assumes construction of innovative LED lamps, communicating with each other by means of useful visible light, creating a wide area data communication network, providing at the same time a possibility to connect to such a system a number of external sensors, which for communication with external systems will use the current information channel, i.e. visible light appropriately modulated or alternative available channels, i.e. radio waves or infrared.
In order to ensure the transmission of usable information between LED lamps and additional sensors, it is necessary to develop suitable transmitter and receiver circuits, which will be the main platform for controlling the operation of the LED lamp. To be able to receive this information, the lamps will also be equipped with modulated wave detectors to convert the information from the light form in the visible wave range into an electrical form that can be understood by electronic devices.
The communication process could take place in terms of visibility of the lamps between each other and/or through reflected light, if the technical conditions allow such a solution, which will also be a topic of consideration and research in the project.
