Research and development project supported by the national center for research and development of active low-power harmonic filters

We are carrying out a research and development project co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development which consists in developing and implementing innovative low-power Active Harmonic Filter products.
The subject of the project is the development of innovative active low-power harmonic filters together with the remote diagnostics of their work in order to improve the energy efficiency of energy consumers, reduce energy transmission losses and reduce CO2 emissions.

The filter will be manufactured with the following systems: single-phase 10A, three-phase 5A, and three-phase 50A per phase of compensating current. This will allow power compensation in installations of up to approx. 10 kW per phase. If the compensator power is not sufficient, the compensators could work in parallel, up to and including 4 devices. In addition, the developed devices are expected to cooperate with traditional reactive power compensators, which will further increase the range of compensated power.

It is also intended to develop a remote diagnostics and monitoring system for active filters. Online diagnostics are the foundation of preventive filter maintenance. This increases the availability of the Active Harmonic Filter through early fault detection and planning as well as coordination of repairs.

By developing the product, Rabbit will be the first company in Poland and the EU to offer Active Low Power Harmonic Filters to a wide customer base at an affordable price. The device will be simple to install and use, allowing for easy installation and subsequent operation. It is assumed that the warranty can be extended to 5 years and the so-called “lifetime” to 10 years. A reduction in charges resulting from penalties for over contracted reactive power consumption will also be an incentive to install the device.

Implementation of the product will translate into increased competitiveness of our company in the domestic and international market.
